The Client

The Suffolk Learning Disability Partnership (SLDP) is an independent partnership of self-advocates, family carers, health and social care commissioners, police, Healthwatch Suffolk, voluntary organisations and housing providers whose aim is to support people with learning disabilities live good lives as part of their community.

The Brief

A lot of content had been added to the SLDP website over the last 3 years which had become difficult to navigate. Similar content was displayed in different areas and it was a confusing user experience. The website didn’t clearly communicate the purpose of the SLDP and didn’t provide an easy way for users to find information.

Our brief was to improve the information architecture of the website by organising and structuring the content to make it easier for users to find the right information.

Website Design & Development

The new website has a simple navigation and powerful search function which has dramatically improved the user experience. The home page is bold and clearly communicates the purpose of the SLDP.

We migrated different post types into one post type with categories that help users find the right information.

Based on a flexible modular design using on brand content blocks, the website is easy to update and maintain by the SLDP team.
